Our Staff

Dawn Angela Rouse, PT - Dawn graduated from LSU-MC in New Orleans, LA  in 1989 with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Physical Therapy.  Dawn’s vast work experience ranges from athletes at LSU and junior Olympics to geriatrics and pediatrics throughout the country.  Her continuing education is in Urinary Incontinence, Osteoporosis, Spinal Conditions, Posture, Balance and Joint Conditions.

 

Mary Margaret Camalo - Mary Margaret has been with the Center since its inception. She serves in the capacity of administrative assistant. Her contributions are many and much of our success is due to her support, organizational skills, and managing accounts receivable.

 

Susan Wagner - Susan has been with the Center for more than two years. She has over nine years of experience in physical therapy office management.  Recently, because of her exemplary performance, she was promoted to Center manager. Her skills include office organization, marketing, scheduling, and patient relations.  Susan possesses an  inate ability to bring out the best in everyone.

 

April Owen - April recently joined our team as an office assistant and has proved to be a great asset. She has demonstrated a real desire to learn and is responsible for  handling day to day operations.

  • Emily Mainwaring, PT

    Emily has earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from UNC-Asheville in Psychology. She attended the Center for Massage and Natural Healing and has been a licensed massage therapist for five years. She has also earned a Masters of Physical Therapy Degree from Western Carolina University and enjoys working with her physical therapy patients to assist in rehabilitaion through exercise and education.

  • Christy Gambill, PT Tech

    Christy is joining Center for Perfect Balance bringing eight years experience in Public Relations to the team. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in in Criminal Justice and Outdoor Recreation. She has completed the Physcial Therapy Assistant Program at South College in Asheville, NC. Christy has trained to work in a variety of rehabilitation situations and emergency medical care especially in on-scene emergency treatment and stabilization before transport. Her experience with college athletics as an avid athelete and trainer have sculpted her extensive background in exercise physiology and work out instruction.
  • Ruth Nicholson, LMT, CNMT

    Ruth Nicholson graduated from Southern Wesleyan University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Biology and Music. She then trained in a 600 hour program at Georgia Mountains school of Massage in Gainesville, GA earning her licensure as a Massage Therapist. She has been nationally certified as a Massage and Bodywork Therapist. Her training included an additional certification in Neuromuscular Massage Therapy requiring 150 hours of NMT and 30 hours of advanced NMT traning in Temporomandibular Joint Disfunction (TMJD). She has had exposure to craniosacral therapy and has experience in lymphatic massage for lymph edema. She enjoys working with people to affect specefic muscular improvement through a variety of techniques in an interactive therapeutic massage.

  • Margaret Squires, L.Ac, OTR/L

    Margaret is board certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and state licensed to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She is a graduate of Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts. She is a licensed occupational therapist with prior experience in acute care rehab concentrating in neurology, cardiopulmonary, and orthopedics. She completed her Occupational Therapy Degree from the University of New Hampshire and holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. She is also certified as a Hatha Yoga Instructor. She has special interest in working with musculoskeletal and pain conditions and integrating Oriental medicine with Western rehab therapies.

  • Daniela Pallares
    STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor

    Daniela's interest in movement and conditioning started as a young rhythmic gymnast. In 1998, during her 10 year career, she was awarded the title of national champion of Ecuador . Daniela first became involved with pilates for her own physical conditioning and she soon realized she could have a positive impact on other's lives by becoming an instructor.

    Daniela is a STOTT PILATES® Level 1 trained instructor. She has been teaching Pilates since 2004 and enjoys working with clients to create individualized programs and improve body awareness. Daniela is fluent in Spanish and has spent six months teaching pilates in Ecuador. Daniela holds a BFA in furniture design from Rhode Island School of Design. She has worked for furniture designers in both Ecuador and Atlanta. Currently, she is working on freelance projects in addition to working at Center for Perfect Balance. In Daniela's free time, she enjoys rock climbing throughout the southeast and is currently pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy.
